Discounts on General Motors Vehicles
As a New York Times Company Employee, you now have the opportunity to
take advantage of the Company’s fleet discount through GM.
Under the GM Program Plus, all eligible New York Times Company employees
can buy or lease a new and unused GM car, truck, sport utility or minivan
from participating U.S. GM Dealers at a discounted rate. This program
is available through September 2003.
How to take advantage:
1. Call program headquarters at 1-800-960-3375 or visit the web site at
www. GMsupplierdiscount.com. Provide your name, Social Security number,
home address and phone number. Then fax to (1-888-358-7312) or mail a
photocopy of your current pay stub or employee ID badge to: GM supplier
Discount, Program Headquarters, P.O. Box 33085, Detroit, MI 48233-5085.
If you qualify, a GM Form 1753 will be mailed to your home address. It
will take approximately 3-5 business days for your GM Form to Arrive.
Or you can request the form from the www.Gmsupplierdiscount.com
website.
2. Visit your participating GM Dealer, and let your salesperson know you
are taking advantage of the GM Supplier New Vehicle Purchase Program Plus.
Then present your form (GM 1753) when you buy or lease your vehicle. You
must take retail delivery by September 30, 2003. Eligible vehicles bought
or leased under this program may also qualify for national or regional
incentives currently available at the time of retail delivery. See your
participating GM Dealer for details.
FAQ’s:
1. Who is eligible?
New York Times Company Employee’s. Active hourly and salary (full-and
part-time) employees. Please note that to qualify for this program, you
must be a resident of the United States.
2. What is the discount?
For vehicles other that SAAB, each dealer invoice will list a GM Supplier
Discount price. The price is figured at the price a GM employee would
pay for that vehicle plus 4%. You can then compare your cost to the Manufacturer’s
Suggested Retail Price to calculate your discount.
For SAAB: The GM supplier price for SAAB is calculated as the dealer invoice
price, less key market advertising, if applicable. SAAB provides a GM
program/supplier price list which you may request by calling SAAB’s
Customer Assistance Center at 1-800-955-9007. You may also ask your sales
representative to show you a copy of the dealer invoice. You can then
compare your cost to the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price to
calculate your discount.
3. How long is the discount available?
This offer is valid for eligible new and unused GM vehicles delivery through
September, 2003.
4. Which GM vehicles are eligible?
Eligible vehicles include new and unused 2001,2003 or 2003 model-year
